Opened in July 2026, Ngogo Safari Lodge brings together spacious rooms, Ugandan hospitality and a love for the forest.

Our lodge is in Nkingo Village, approximately 3 km south of Kanyanchu, the visitor centre for Kibale National Park. The drive to the centre takes about ten minutes, making it easy to return after a morning in the forest.
We offer 12 spacious, self-contained rooms, a raised restaurant with a viewing balcony, an open-sided bar and friendly, professional service. Our team brings together experience in tourism, hospitality, environmental management and human resources spanning more than 15 years.
We are also at the gateway to the Ngogo research area, known internationally for long-term chimpanzee research and the documentary Chimp Empire. Visitor chimpanzee tracking is arranged through the park’s authorised visitor programmes; the research station is a separate scientific site.

The lodge is managed by Jovita Katusiime, Managing Director, whose experience in tourism, travel and hospitality shapes our personal approach to every stay.
Jovita and the team share their knowledge of the region, respond to guests’ needs and take pride in making visitors feel welcome. Many of our colleagues are from the neighbouring Bigodi community.
Ngogo Safari Lodge is a member of the Uganda Hotel Owners Association and operates with a Responsible Travel and Tourism Policy.

Our rooms are designed to be spacious and peaceful. Bathing areas and toilets are separately arranged for convenience and privacy. Free Wi-Fi is available, with charging points in the rooms, reception, bar and restaurant.
The lodge uses solar energy to reduce reliance on diesel generators and keep the surroundings quieter for both guests and wildlife.
